Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters.

Clear information about how we handle customer details, authorized Google email sending, and your privacy choices.

Public privacy policyGoogle API disclosureEffective October 15, 2026

In plain language: Grass Guys uses Google authorization to send legitimate business emails from an authorized Gmail account. Our Email System requests permission to send mail; it does not request access to read your Gmail inbox.

Effective date: October 15, 2026  ·  Applies to Grass Guys Lawn Care & Mulch and its privately operated Grass Guys Email System.

1. Who operates this service

Grass Guys Lawn Care & Mulch (“Grass Guys,” “we,” “us”) operates grassguyslc.com and a private Business OS administration system used to manage customer communications, estimates, scheduling, and service operations. Contact us at grassguys302@gmail.com if you have questions about this policy.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Customer and inquiry information: names, email addresses, telephone numbers, service or property addresses, requested services, quotes, scheduling information, and messages that customers choose to provide.
  • Business email information: email recipient addresses, drafted email content, campaign information, unsubscribe preferences, and delivery status or error records needed to operate our Email Center.
  • Google account authorization information: the authorized sender's Google email address, OAuth access and refresh tokens, and the permissions granted when an administrator connects Gmail.
  • Basic technical information: hosting access logs, security/session information, and related operational diagnostics necessary to keep the website and admin service working.

3. Google API access and how it is used

When an authorized administrator chooses Connect Gmail Account, Grass Guys Email System requests Google account identity scopes (openid and email) and the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send permission.

  • Google account identity: confirms which Gmail address is connected and uses it as the authorized sender.
  • Gmail sending: submits messages the administrator composes or approves, such as customer communications, invoices, follow-ups, and permitted marketing campaigns, using Google's Gmail API.
  • Access limits: the Gmail connection is send-only. The Email System does not request Gmail scopes to read or download inbox messages, search email, or manage mailbox folders.
  • Recipients: messages and relevant addressing information are transmitted to Google to send the email, and messages are delivered to the recipients chosen by the authorized administrator.
Google API Limited Use commitment

Grass Guys Email System’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google API data only to provide and maintain the disclosed email connection and do not use it to target advertisements, sell data, or create unrelated user profiles.

4. How we use customer and service information

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, provide lawn-care services, plan visits, issue invoices, send requested communications, maintain service records, and manage customer support. Marketing messages are intended for recipients who have agreed to receive them, and marketing emails provide an unsubscribe mechanism.

5. Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to provide the service: with Google when sending authorized Gmail messages, with our website hosting provider for storage and operation of the Business OS, and with intended message recipients. We may also disclose information when legally required. We do not sell Google API authorization data or use it for third-party advertising.

6. How information is stored and protected

Business OS stores customer and campaign records on our hosting environment. Gmail OAuth client details and tokens are stored encrypted in server-side files protected against ordinary public access. Admin access is restricted by authentication, and the website uses HTTPS. No Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

Campaign records may include recipients, send status, send dates, and delivery errors for operational follow-up.

7. Retention, disconnecting, and deleting data

We retain customer and operational records for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver services, manage customer relationships, resolve disputes, and meet applicable business or legal obligations. The connected administrator can disconnect Gmail in the Business OS Email Settings to remove its locally saved authorization tokens. For complete revocation of the Google grant, the Google account holder can also remove Grass Guys Email System under Google Account connections.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, contact grassguys302@gmail.com. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or legitimate business obligations.

8. Your choices

You may decline to provide optional information, request changes to your customer details, or unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in a marketing message. Account holders who authorize Gmail access may revoke that access through Google or Grass Guys Email Settings. Revoking Gmail permission stops Gmail API sending until the account is reconnected.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the application change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update its effective date. Material changes to how Google API data is used will require appropriate notice and consent before new uses occur.
